Another way to issue money in sufficiency is through the Common Good Bank which we are working to get a charter for.  In this model the members democratically decide what to fund by creating the currency to fund it, and being able to exchange the currency created for federal reserve credit as needed.  Once Common Good Banks are established all across the country it should be possible to implement digital coin.

This is a very nice idea John, however I take issue with fractional reserve banking as it stimulates exponential economic growth. Perhaps in another decade when we have those fusion reactors and are able to colonize the oceans and space itself that would be fine. But for now on our little world it seems such unrestrained growth has already reached its limits.

Please give detail if you believe I am in error and we can discuss it rationally - Frankly, I'd love to be wrong as I think there could be a lot of good in a common good bank.

A persons greatness should not solely be defined by their passion and ideas, but also by their ability and desire to challenge all ideas equally.
