This forum is primarily for the discussion of developing monetary systems like Digital Coin, but also existing alternative and mainstream monetary systems past & present. It should be used thoughtfully to both present and study such systems in an open, objective, and active manner. Please leave your politics at the door. Those coming to grandstand or otherwise play politics, will be removed. Stick to the facts and reference all that you are able.

I'm brand new here....  But I was wondering...

How many people here are already using Bitcoin digital cash for transacting business?

See  http://BitcoinMe.com for details about Bitcoin.

Apologies, for the lack of overwhelming response  Grin  The forum isn't a very happening place yet. . .

I've been playing around with Bitcoin software and am considering how I might incorporate Bitcoin into th Agora I'm setting up on the earthsociety.org domain.  Bitcoin is making great strides however, just as I never hold only dollars, I'll never hold only one type of money.  Bitcoin has a ways to go before it really proves itself.  At the moment my primary concern is that governments and banks for that matter, may start using botnets to attack bitcoin before it really catches on and in so doing making it useless.  If it reaches a large enough size before the ruling class catches on, then perhaps bot attacks won't be a serious problem, but we've a way to go before we're safe there I think. In the meantime, in order to protect the future of bitcoin, more and more people need to be made aware of it and get it up and running on their hardware.

Absolutely.

We'd love to see the creators of the "Money as Debt" videos create a video explaining Bitcoin, and how easy it is to begin using it.  They can simply get the initial outline of the video from the text of the pages of BitcoinMe.com
